Chocolate Cheesecake Cookies

Looking for the sweet and creamy taste of cheesecake along with the rich deliciousness of chocolate, then you have to try these Chocolate Cheesecake Cookies

I LOVE chocolate, I tend to crave it often but when you mix in the creamy flavor of cheesecake you have a mind blowing combination that is bound to make your taste buds jump for joy.

My family has a strong love for cheesecake (Uhm, Hello Golden Girls!), but I LOVE cookies. There is just something about the soft chewy texture of cookies that makes my heart and soul happy. Mixing these two delicious flavors turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made.

These rich and indulgent cookies are perfect for holiday cookie exchanges, dessert tables, parties or just because you want to eat them. I won’t judge you if you want to make the cookies everyday. However, let’s be honest with each other: We really don’t need an excuse to make cookies. Just make them.

Frequently Asked Questions About Chocolate Cheesecake Cookies

Where can I buy Cheesecake M&M’s?

Cheesecake M&M’s (this will take you to Amazon for them) are found during the spring holidays like Valentine’s Day and Easter at your local grocery store or big box store. I buy them when they are available, and then I place them in the freezer so that I always have them on hand for when I want to whip up a batch of these delicious cheesecake cookies.

If you cannot find the Cheesecake M&M’s you can use any type of M&M’s that you like. I think Caramel and Original M&M’s would work perfectly in these Chocolate Cheesecake Cookies.

How Do You Store Chocolate Cheesecake Cookies For Later?

Store your cookies for up to 7 days on the table or counter tightly covered. Be sure to keep your cookies away from heat sources and moisture. I like to keep my cookies in a cookie jar on my counter. But, you could also store them in a storage bag or plastic storage container.

If you want to keep your cookies for longer than 7 days, you can freeze them after they are baked in freezer bags. For a fresh baked taste, shape your cookie dough into cookie sized balls, and place in a freezer bag, and freeze the raw dough.

You can also bake them, and store in an airtight container to place in the freezer, and they will last up to 6 months! You can’t be mad at cookies that you can store for that long. Of course, they don’t last long in my house!

Optional Additions To Elevate Your Cookies

These cookies are amazingly delicious just like they are but if you want to jazz them up a step or two I have some suggestions for you.

Add in ¾ cup of any type of chocolate chips to the batter before baking. I like to use milk chocolate or semi sweet when I’m making cookies.

½ cup of chopped walnuts or pecans mixed into your batter right be before baking adds a little crunch to your cookies. I love a cookie that is packed with nuts.

Toss in ½ cup of chopped dried fruit for a sweet twist, or perhaps even toasted coconut shavings. They’ll a delightful extra layer of flavoring!

Want to really take your cookies up two notches?  Try frosting your Chocolate Cheesecake Cookies with a cream cheese frosting and then place your M&M’s on top of the frosting. They turn out to be mind blowing-ly delicious with the addition of the cream cheese frosting, you can follow along for the one I made on my chocolate cake.
