Benefits of using a sugar scrub?

Sugar scrubs are beneficial for your skin because it helps exfoliate your skin. The sugar scrubs help remove dead cells off the top layer of your skin which allows for better absorption of moisturizers and other treatments you may want to use on your skin. The oil used in a homemade sugar scrub can help rejuvenate dry or oily patches on your skin. This leaves your skin clean, moistures and baby soft.

Why is coconut oil good for your skin

Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer that can prevent dry skin and heals existing rashes. It contains vitamin E, which helps to regenerate cells in the skin, combat free radicals and promote healthy looking skin.

Due to its antioxidant properties, it also prevents aging of the skin by protecting against UV damage. Most of us that cook often, seems to always have coconut oil on hand, so the fact that it’s always on hand plus it has such great skin benefits makes coconut oil prefect for homemade sugar scrubs.

How to store this homemade sugar scrub

Store your Strawberry Lemonade sugar scrub in a glass container. Yes, it is necessary that you use a glass container instead of plastic. Because, this sugar scrub recipe contains essentials oils, they are own to strip plastic and therefore anything containing essentials oils should always be stored in a glass container.

Homemade sugar scrub can be stored for up to 6 months as long as you keep them in an airtight glass container. If you don’t have a glass container with a seal, you can also use a plastic one. Glass just works best for it for longevity.
