INGREDIENT NOTES
- Oreos – I've used vanilla Oreos, but you can use other vanilla sandwich cookies instead.
- Cream cheese – Soften at room temperature for a smooth consistency in the truffle mixture.
- Candy melts – You'll need yellow, blue, and pink candy melts to decorate these truffles. You could also use almond bark and add food coloring to it.
- Sprinkles – Pastel colored sprinkles are so pretty on these truffles. Feel free to experiment with your favorite brand of sprinkles or even use pastel colored sanding sugar.
COOKING TIPS
While this recipe is incredibly easy, I have discovered some sure ways to ensure the absolute best results, which is going to be particularly important to you if you decide to serve these adorable truffles to your friends and family for Easter or even gift them as edible holiday treats!
Here's everything you need to know:
- Make sure to give yourself enough time to freeze the dough balls. It's important that the balls have hardened so that they withstand the heat from the melted chocolate and don't become misshapen or fall apart.
- For smooth, evenly shaped truffles, ensure your Oreo mixture is combined well and free of lumps. A cookie scoop is a great tool to use to help create uniform truffles which will add to the pretty look of these Easter treats.
- Make sure to add the pastel sprinkles to the candy coating while it's still wet so they stick properly.
- Don't drizzle the same color as the Oreo truffle ball on top because you wonโt be able to see it.
- Use a clean fork or a new fork each time you dip the Oreo balls into a new color of melted chocolate.
TURN YOUR EASTER TRUFFLES INTO HOMEMADE GIFTS
These Easter Oreo truffles are so stunning, it would be a real shame not to share them with those you don't get to see at Easter lunch or dinner.
Make as many batches of these Easter truffles and then place an assorted selection in clear bags with decorative ribbon and a holiday gift tag. They could also be added to a paper box, nestled in some shredded paper to resemble a nest and eggs!
MAKE-AHEAD INSTRUCTIONS
Refrigeration Instructions
The cream cheese and crushed Oreo mixture can be stored in an airtight container or wrapped tightly like a large dough ball and stored in the fridge for a day before rolling the individual truffle balls and continuing with the recipe steps.
Freezer Instructions
These Easter truffles could also be stored in the freezer before coating in the melted chocolate and sprinkles. Place them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw slightly in the fridge and then decorate them in freshly melted chocolate and pastel colored sprinkles.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Refrigeration: Store leftover Easter Oreo truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
- Freezer: It's possible to store these fully assembled and decorated Easter truffles in the freezer for up to 1 month, but the chocolate coating may bloom and the sprinkles could bleed their color when the truffles are left to thaw slightly before serving again. This shouldn't be a problem if you are not intending to serve them again for a special occasion, but rather want to enjoy them at home.

These Easter Oreo Truffles are fun, no-bake holiday treats with creamy Oreo centers and pretty chocolate coating. Top them with sprinkles and get the kids to help you!
Ingredients
- 18 oz package of vanilla Oreos
- 8 oz of cream cheese (softened to room temp)
- 4 oz of yellow candy melts
- 4 oz of blue candy melts
- 4 oz of pink candy melts
- 3 tbsp of pastel colored sprinkles
Instructions
- Crush up the Oreos finely in a food processor and add them to a large bowl. Add the cream cheese and beat using a hand mixer until a dough consistency forms. Line a large baking sheet or tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out about 1 tbsp of dough into a ball and place on the parchment paper. Repeat until there is no more dough left. Place in the freezer for 1 hour.
- In three separate microwave safe bowls add pink to one, blue to one and yellow to one. Melt each one in the microwave stirring every 30 seconds. Make sure to mix with a clean utensil so you don’t mix colors.
- Once everything is melted bring the oreo balls out. Use two forks to dip the ball into whatever color you choose first. Lightly tap the fork on the side of the bowl to have the leftover candy fall back into the bowl. Scrape the bottom and then push back onto the parchment paper carefully. Repeat with all the balls alternating colors.
- Once all the oreo balls are dipped get three small zip lock bags out, pour the leftover candy melts into each one, snip a tiny piece of the corner off with scissors and then drizzle pink over the yellow and blue dipped ones, or blue over the yellow and pink, etc. you can drizzle two colors on one as well.
- As soon as you drizzle the candy sprinkle the sprinkles right on top so they stick. Once done you can set in the fridge for 5 minutes so the candy hardens faster. (Optional) serve and enjoy!

This recipe calls for regular vanilla Oreo cookies in this recipe, but gluten-free Oreos could be used instead.
Absolutely! I just find it more convenient to use the microwave for melting the three separate bowls of candy melts at one time, but you can use a double boiler and coat one batch of truffles at a time.
Oh yes! Chocolate Oreos will give your truffles a richer, more decadent flavor – perfect for the chocolate lovers out there. You could even make a combination of vanilla and chocolate Oreo truffles.
