Mealthy CrispLid Review
This is a Mealthy CrispLid Review. I received one for an exchange of an honest review. This post will contain affiliate links of where I will receive a commission on any and all sales made. All opinions are thoughts are my own.
I’ve been seeing so many different options out there for air fryers. I wasn’t sure about all of the hype until I actually purchased an air fryer. I’m a frugal person, so of course I got it for a great deal! I didn’t think I was going to use it all of the time, but I do. I use my air fryer a couple of times a week. So I use it just as often as I would use my Instant Pot.

The down side of owning a stand alone air fryer? Man…it sure does take up a lot of space. I store it off to the side on a table to hold my other kitchen gadgets. I have to lug it back and forth when I want to use it. I would leave it on my counter top, but I like having a clean space to cook with.
At first glance, my Mealthy CrispLid review is going to go pretty positive because it helps me to add an extra reason for me to love my pressure cooker a little bit more. I’m now able to use it as an air fryer. I love a kitchen gadget that can help improve the quality of my kitchen life.
But let’s take a look and see what we get, and how it functions.
Mealthy CrispLid Review: What’s Inside the Box?
When you first open the Mealthy CrispLid box, you’ll see the traditional pamphlets that one would expect to receive: A user guide and a recipe book.
The recipes offered in the their little book are super easy to make, and look delicious. I like easy recipes that I don’t have to struggle and stumble over.
Accessories for the Mealthy CrispLid
For starting out, these accessories are perfect for what you’ll need. You have the metal stand to keep items that you’re cooking closer to the heat source. If you’re cooking something that’s a little bit taller than what you need by the heat, like a whole chicken, then you can easily use the trivet that comes with your pressure cooker.
You also get a mesh wire basket. This is what you’ll be doing almost all of your cooking in, unless you’re using other types of pans to bake or air fry in.
The company provides you with a silicone trivet. This trivet is where you would place your Mealthy CripsLid on to rest after using it, and it’s still hot. This way you’re not placing it on a counter top and causing accidental heat damage.
What’s NOT in the photo is a fabulous pair of tongs. They’re heavy duty ones with silicone grips. They might actually become my new favorite pair of tongs to use in the kitchen. They’re really a nice quality product, which goes hand in hand with their CrispLid.
Let’s take a close look at the Mealthy CrispLid
The CrispLid, itself, is nice and lightweight. The LCD monitor is very easy to read, and I like that it’s a blue color and not red. Why? Mostly because it’s easier on my eyes to read. Also, the controls are nice and easy to use. It’s not overly complicated, and it get’s a star from me for that.
When you lift the handle, it releases a safety feature button. If you life the handle while cooking, it will temporarily stop your air fryer lid from working. Sometimes you need to flip food over in the air fryer, so this is a great feature to have. Once you place the handle back down and locked in place with a click, it will start back from where it was paused from.
The CrispLid Controls are Super Easy to Use, and Fits a 6QT or 8QT
Before we get into the ease of control, let’s talk about how much I love that the Mealthy CrispLid fits both a 6QT and 8QT pressure cooker…without having the need of any kind of special attachments. You can see that there’s the indentations to fit either size.
With a touch of the button, you can easily change the temperature and the timer.
To reduce the temperature or the time, press which one you want to change first, and then press the minus sign until you get the temperature or amount of time you want. Like wise, if you want to add more time or raise the temperature, then press the plus sign.
To start the process, press the the triangle. To me, the triangle looks like the old school “Play” button. So, to start cooking…hit that play button!
If you want to pause the cooking process, hit the square sign, or the “stop” sign. Pressing the button once pauses the cooking process, hitting it twice will stop the cooking process all together
The glowing orange color is from the cooking element at work. That’s how you know it’s on and doing it’s job. Once it’s done, then it’ll beep…almost the same exact sound that Instant Pot makes when it’s done.
If you have a pet that doesn’t like that kind of sound, or if you don’t like it, then you can easily switch the sound off. Hold the button square image button the “SOFF” is displayed on the screen. To turn it back on, then do the same thing until you see, “S ON” displayed.
With the Mealthy CrispLid, you can Broil, Crisp, Air Fryer, Bake, and even Dehydrate food. If you’re pressure cooking food, you can easily add the Mealthy CrispLid on top to brown it or crisp it. Most people love doing this when they pressure cook a whole chicken.
I love doing fun recipes, like this 2 Ingredient WW Bagel Sticks. If you’re doing Weight Watchers, then you’ll learn that you’ll love making things with the WW 2 Ingredient dough!
Do you still have questions? Let’s see if I can answer them!
Here’s a list of some questions that you might have, and answers that I think that might be helpful for my Mealthy CrispLid review. PLUS, here’s a great deal to help you out in saving a few bucks! Well, $10 to be exact:

Yes it can! Simply use a soft cotton cloth that is lightly dampened with white vinegar. Make sure it’s unplugged when cleaning the steel portions of the CrispLid. Then you want to dry/buff it immediately.
If you already have an Air Fryer, then you may not need the Mealthy CrispLid. It won’t replace a larger air fryer, but it can definitely replace a smaller one. Also, unless you love kitchen gadgets or simplifying life, then you yes…totally buy one. The Upside? The Mealthy CrispLid can cook up to 500°, most can only go up to about 400°. A safety feature built into the crisp lid is that it will only cook at or above 450F for 20 minutes. After that, you will have to wait at least 10 minutes before you can use it above 450F again. For temperatures under 450F, the maximum cook time is 60 minutes.
Not at all! In fact, you can use my coupon code FOODNSERVICE10 to save $10 on your purchase of $59.95 or more. That’s an amazing deal! CLICK HERE for the full list of products.
Not at all! There might be a small learning curve in wanting to bake things in your air fryer, but each product you make bakes differently. Brownies will take a different amount of time than cake, and etc.
Of course! It’s really up to you and your imagination. You are going to be using less to no oil in your cooking process, which will inherently make your food less in fat. So it helps to cut calories and fat count.
It’s a simple plug and play tool. I’ve reviewed the different ways on how to change time and temperature on the Mealthy CrispLid. I’ve also included how to use it after pressure cooking food. It’s so easy, and almost fail proof.
Yes you can. You can see that in my 2 Ingredient Dough WW Bagel sticks recipe, that I use a mold for them. Just remember that your silicone molds will be hot when done cooking in the Mealthy CrispLid.
The long run of the answer is, yes…for the most part. Each company creates a slightly different shape, but you can use it on almost any model of pressure cooker.
Actually, no. It heats up super fast, so there’s no real need to pre-heat your pressure cooker with the Mealthy CrispLid.
The heating element of the CrispLid blasts dry heat around your food; hence, air frying it. After a while, it will crisp your food. You can keep up with the cooking process of your recipes via the clear lid. You can stop your food from burning, if you think you’ve added too much time to the cooking process.
