Vibrant Nation has sponsored this post on behalf of Tide Pods. I was compensated to write up this amazing article and video!
About 25 years ago, I was diagnosed with a 1,001 different types of skin and food color allergies. I’ve had to watch what products I use (shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, detergent, etc.) and what types of food I ate. I pretty much had to say goodbye to processed foods and a lot of candy…sigh. However, it wasn’t the end of me. I’ve just had to modify my life. Believe it or not, the hardest part about adjusting my life has been doing my laundry.
Doing laundry is normally a very simple task, until you put in the mix of skin sensitivity. I’m not your normal type of person, which is very obvious for those that know me. If I use the wrong type of laundry detergent, I’ll break out in hives, I’ll get hot flashes like I was going through menopause, and I would literally faint. It took me a while, but I found many laundry detergents (including in having to make my own) to be readily available for me. The hardest part is a couple of things: 1. They are so super expensive 2. I have to use a lot or rewash my clothes because they just weren’t clean enough. For someone on a tight budget, doing laundry was actually a luxury for me that I looked forward to!
Here’s a little video I created in explaining how Tide Pods have helped me out greatly!
If you watched the video, I added in an extra element about being able to use Tide Pods. CONVENIENCE! I also want to give you a safety warning: You are not supposed to normally handle the pods this way at all. I handled them in this manner to just show you what they looked like and what are in the different chambers. As with any household cleaning product of any sort, you should always keep these out of reach of children. They are very colorful and super pretty to look at, so you definitely want to make sure that the lid is snap closed properly, and that they are out reach of your little ones. In my case, I keep them out of my sister’s reach.
Convenience is very important to me, as I live in an apartment complex and we don’t have washers and dryers in our homes. It stinks because a lot of walking and lugging the laundry around can be a pain, but that’s okay for now. We’ve been doing it for over 3 years, and we’re still fine with it. However, when you add in the extra weight of laundry detergent with towels, sheets, jeans and other clothes…it makes life a little bit more tiring. Though, I have to say that it’s good if you want a small workout session! Tide pods makes our life much easier. We can just take a few pods along with us in our laundry basket and call it a day.
This is my sister Angela, that I made mention in the video. Yeah, she totally looks adorable at the moment. She’s 39 going on 6, and runs around the yards and after our dogs all day long. She loves wearing her dresses, but plays in her dresses if she was wearing play clothes. So, it’s super important that I’m able to keep her favorite dresses clean and free of grass stains, food stains, crayons, and anything else she happens to play around in. Tide Pods certainly helps do the trick! We use 2 Tide Pods in each our loads of laundry and call it a day. The clothes come out clean, and smelling amazing! Though, don’t just take my word on it. Take the word of my baby girl, Delilah and Ubi! They have fallen in love with laundry day, and take advantage of the fresh clean smell.
Yes, I already know! They are totally adorable, but they give the full seal of approval of the fresh clean scent that stays on our clothes!
Tide Pods deliver a consistent and trusted cleaning performance with each wash. They help take the measuring guess work out of it! Another great bonus is that the dissolvable film disappears in cold water, too! The three chamber design is intentional, as it allows Tide Pods unique chemistry matrix work together in the wash for amazing results. This great innovation has completely helped enhance my lifestyle, and I know it will enhance yours! Take the Tide Pods challenge and enhance your life today!
