Are Your Eyes Open?

I was listening to this song yesterday, and my whole body was smiling. It started from my heart, and then spread out throughout my entire body. I was simply clipping coupons and posting stuff on facebook, but then it hit me. God speaks every day.
Sometimes our eyes and ears aren’t always open to listen and see.
I hear the internal cries of my friends, and sometimes external ones…and I listen to them.

What are they looking for?
We all tend to get lost in our daily on-goings of life, and then things happen (both good and bad).
Then we wonder to ourselves, “Where are you now God? I need you so badly!”

The answer is simple, He IS there. Are you eyes and ears open to listening and finding him?
If not, then there is your answer. His promise to use is that He is always with us, even when we turn our backs and ignore the obvious signs and truths around us.
We even do the same thing to the people around us. Most times, unknowingly.
I often get made fun of because I like to talk to people. I ignore people’s comments (even though they are just teasing me) and keep being who I am. People desperately need that one moment to have someone notice them saying, “Hey! I’m alive! I’m right here in front of you.”
I challenge you to take a moment to share a friendly smile, a warm compliment or just a quick 10 second conversation.
It’s amazing the impact that you can have someone. I have to constantly remind myself of this.
My sister, Angela, who is mentally handicapped…LOVES to talk! Worse than I do (If you can imagine that)! BUT, I let her talk. In fact, today…she talked for 45 minutes straight! I just laughed when I got off the phone with her.

God’s blessings comes to us on a daily basis, it’s just a matter of us opening our eyes, ears and hearts to listen.
To truly listen. Now THAT’S a lot of work on our part, but imagine how much more grace and happiness we could have in our lives just by acting upon this song. I’m including the lyrics with hopes you may read them, meditate, and spread the love and joy of Christ and OUR Heavenly Father.
