This chocolate lush dessert is all kinds of crunchy, creamy, and oh-so decadent. Even better is the fact that there's no baking time involved! Here are my fail-proof steps and tips to ensure success!

Preparations

Allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature before starting this lush recipe and melt the butter.

Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Crush the cookies in a food processor and then combine the crushed cookies with the melted butter. Press the cookie crust mixture into the bottom of a 9×9 baking dish.

Step 2
Combine the cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar in a separate mixing bowl using an electric mixer.

Step 3
Gently fold 2 cups of the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture. Spread the mixture evenly over the chocolate cookie base.

Step 4
Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with the milk until you achieve a smooth consistency. Spread the chocolate pudding mixture evenly over the peanut butter layer.

Step 5
Spread the remaining whipped cream over the top of the chocolate lush dessert. Sprinkle the chopped Butterfingers over the top of the whipped cream and chill the dessert for 2 hours before serving.

💭 COOKING TIPS

Allowing the cream cheese to soften before combining with the peanut butter and powdered sugar will ensure a smooth and lump-free consistency in the peanut butter layer.

It's important to chill this dessert in the fridge for at least 2 hours. This will ensure that the dessert firms up enough so that it holds shape when sliced and served.

Ingredients

  • 30 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 cups whipped topping divided
  • 1 box 5.1 ounces instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 mini Butterfingers chopped

Instructions

  • In a food processor crush the cookies.
  • Mix the cookie crumbs with the melted butter and press evenly into an 9×9 baking dish.
  • In a large bowl using an electric mixer whip together the cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar.
  • Fold in 2 cups of the whipped topping. Spread over crust evenly.
  • Next whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth.
  • Spread the pudding mixture carefully over the peanut butter layer.
  • Top with the remaining 2 cups of whipped topping. Chop up the Butterfingers and sprinkle all over the top.
  • Chill for 2 hours before serving.

Notes

●You could also use chocolate peanut butter cookies or peanut butter cookies for the crust.
●Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
