Instant Pot Pumpkin Oatmeal

There’s no better way to start the morning off then with a bowl of this delicious Instant Pot pumpkin oatmeal!

What is the difference between old fashioned oats and quick cooking oats? Old fashioned oats are rolled to become flattened. This helps this cook evenly. Quick oats are cut into small pieces to help them cook quicker.

INGREDIENTS – ½ cup pumpkin puree – 1 cup old fashioned oats – 1 ½ cups almond milk – ½ cup water – 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice – ⅛ salt – 1-2 tbsp maple syrup or your favorite sweetener – ¼ cup pecans

Step 1: Add pumpkin puree, oats, almond milk, water, pumpkin spice and salt into the bottom of an Instant Pot.

Step 2: Use a spoon or spatula to stir, make sure to mix well all the ingredients.

Step 3: Attach the lid, turn to lock and set the valve to “Sealing”.

Step 4: Set to cook on high pressure for 1 minute and let the pressure natural release for 10 minutes.

Tip: Total time, including coming to pressure, is about 18 to 20 minutes.

Final Step: When all the pressure is released, remove the lid and stir with a spoon. Serve with maple syrup and pecans on top and enjoy!
