Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cup all purpose flour
- 1 ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup buttermilk
TOPPING
- White Frosting
- Black Icing in Tube
- Toothpick
FILLING
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/2 - 1 cup granulated sugar
- red food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Combine all ingredients into a medium sized bowl and combine well.
- Line a large cupcake pan with cupcake liners. Spray lightly with cooking spray if desired.
- Prepare cream cheese mixture for the center.
- Place one tablespoon of batter into the pan. Place a small amount of the red cream cheese into the pan on top of the first tablespoon. Cover the cream cheese with more batter.
- Bake the cupcakes for 20-23 minutes. Let the cupcakes cool completely once finished.
- Cover the cooled cupcake with frosting and then draw several circles on the top of the cupcake with black icing using either a tube or a toothpick. If you are not using a spider in the center, make your center circle very small.
- Drag several lines from the center of the cupcake to the edge in order to create a web look. Enjoy!
