Ingredients
- 4 pounds chicken wings fresh or thawed
- 8 tablespoons 1 stick unsalted butter sliced
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese plus more for garnish
- 6-8 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Equipment
Instructions
- Place wings into the slow cooker pot.
- Top the wings with the butter, grated parmesan, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Cover with lid and cook fresh/thawed wings on LOW for 4-5 hours (or HIGH for 3-4 hours), until the chicken is fully cooked, tender, and has reached an internal temp of 165 F.
- Once cooked, preheat the oven broiler and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with cooking spray or lightly grease with butter to help prevent sticking.
- Place the chicken onto the prepared baking sheet and baste with the leftover garlic parm butter from the slow cooker. Broil for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until desired crispiness is reached. Scoop some of the garlic bits from the slow cooker to top the chicken with if desired.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and more grated parmesan. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and sides. Enjoy!

Serving Suggestions
- Classic game day spread. Pile the wings on a large platter, finish with extra parmesan and parsley, and serve alongside celery sticks, carrot sticks, and a bowl of ranch or garlic aioli for dipping. Set it in the center of the table and watch it disappear.
- Pair with a cold, crispy side. A simple coleslaw or a crisp green salad cuts through the richness of the wings perfectly. For something heartier, my Instant Pot Green Beans and Potatoes rounds out the meal beautifully.
- Party display idea. Arrange the wings upright in a deep serving dish so guests can grab them easily without the garlic butter dripping everywhere. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh herbs for a polished presentation.
- Build a wing bar. Set out multiple dipping sauces — ranch, garlic aioli, blue cheese, and hot sauce — so guests can customize. Pair with 7-layer dip or my Easy Caprese Skewers with Prosciutto for a full appetizer spread.
