Ingredients

  • 12 frozen Grands Biscuits not thawed
  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 2 tablespoons 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 slices bacon cooked until crisp and crumbled or pre-cooked
  • 1 green onion chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F. Light grease a 9x12-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Arrange the frozen biscuits in the prepared dish in 4 rows of 3.
  3. Pour half of the butter over the biscuits.
  4. Reserve 1/3 cup of the cheese, then sprinkle the other 1 2/3 cup over the biscuits in the baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning all over the layer of cheese.
  6. Pour the remaining half of the butter all over the cheese.
  7. Spread the bacon evenly over top, then sprinkle on the remaining 1/3 cup of cheese.
  8. Cover the pan with foil, then bake at 375F for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown.
  9. Top the biscuits with chopped green onion before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

•When I experimented with this recipe I felt that salted butter made the biscuits too salty. But salted butter will work fine if that’s what readers have on hand.
•The videos I saw on TikTok showed creators using pre-packaged bacon bits, but real bacon is so much better.
•I don’t know if this recipe would work with refrigerator biscuits, but if anyone attempts it they should reduce the baking time significantly as 30 minutes would be way too long.
