Always allow ingredients, such as cream cheese and eggs, to reach room temperature before combining to make the cheesecake filling. This helps create a smooth consistency to avoid any lumps or pockets of air in the cheesecake, which would cause the cheesecake to crack.

If you want to ensure an ultra-smooth cheesecake filling, use a food processor to blend the ingredients instead of a regular hand mixer.

Lastly, you can avoid cracking on the top of your baked cheesecake by not overmixing the cheesecake filling and not overbaking the cheesecake.

This Twix cheesecake recipe can easily be adapted with a few simple variations and ingredient swaps. These variations can help you make slight tweaks to the recipe or change it substantially; the choice is yours!

Quick Nutty Change! While this cheesecake recipe is inspired by Twix candy, you could easily change it to a Snicker’s cheesecake by using chopped Snickers bars, and chopped roasted peanuts on top! Feel free to get creative and use your favorite candy to make this cheesecake!

For the Chocolate Lovers! Want a more rich chocolate flavor to this Twix cheesecake? Chocolate cookies can be used instead of shortbread to make the cheesecake crust. You could also add melted chocolate to the cheesecake filling for a swirled effect and garnish the cheesecake with melted chocolate instead of chocolate syrup!

Twix cheesecake is a decadent dessert, most often served after a main meal, as a sweet treat during the day, whenever the craving hits, or for a special occasion such as high tea, baby showers, or birthdays. Here are a few delicious recipes to serve with your Twix cheesecake.

Ice Cream or Whipped Cream

Enjoy a slice of this irresistible Twix cheesecake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Hot Beverage

Wash it down with a mug of hot chocolate or coffee for the perfect midday treat!

Cookies and Treats

Add this Twix cheesecake to a spread of sweet treats, such as brownies, chocolate truffles, sea salt almond truffles, and chocolate crinkle cookies. This combination makes a delicious dessert board for parties and special occasions.

I haven’t baked this Twix cheesecake in a water bath, but you can as it creates a velvety smooth texture with the right amount of density without overcooking it.

Apart from following the suggested recipe cooking time, you can tell that your Twix cheesecake is done baking when it has some jiggle to it. It shouldn’t be rock-stiff!

Cracks in cheesecake can happen for various reasons. Air bubbles trapped in the cheesecake filling will rise and burst through the top of the cheesecake, exposing the cheesecake to big changes in temperatures i.e. moving the cheesecake from a warm oven to a cold countertop or not releasing the cheesecake from the sides of the springform with a knife.

All cheesecake must be stored in airtight containers in the fridge to prevent the dairy-based ingredients from spoiling and to help prevent the cheesecake from absorbing other food odors. You won’t need to reheat cheesecake!

Leftover Twix cheesecake should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Don’t store this cheesecake at room temperature due to the dairy-based ingredients that could spoil.

Twix cheesecake can be stored as an entire cake or as individual slices in an airtight container in the freezer for 1-2 months.

Thaw the frozen Twix cheesecake overnight in the fridge, and serve!

This Twix cheesecake provides 8 generous servings. Since cheesecake are already somewhat tricky, I don’t recommend halving or doubling this recipe, unless you plan to make two cheescakes with two 9-inch springform pans.
