Root Beer Mug Cake Recipe
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
- 1 tablespoon of Root Beer extract
- 2 tablespoons of heavy cream/ or milk
- 6 tablespoons of all purpose baking flour
- 1 large egg
- sprinkle of salt
- 1/4 cup of white sugar
For Icing
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon of white sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
How To Make
Start by getting a small bowl. Add in your butter, salt, and root beer extract. Add your heavy cream and egg. Whisk it until it’s combined. Now add in your sugar and slowly add in your flour and mix until everything is combined well.
Now grab a large microwaveable safe mug and fill it half way with the batter. Place it in the microwave for a minute and 15 seconds. Take out and let cook. The cake is done when the sides are easy to pull away from the cup sides.
Directions for Icing
While the cake is cooking, whip up your icing. I used my mixer because it’s fast and easy. Make sure you are using the whisk attachment. Add in your heavy cream, vanilla, and sugar. Whip up till it creates peaks and looks like whipped cream/icing.

It took 3 minutes to cook instead of 1, it stayed liquid batter texture even after leaving it to rest for awhile so I had to nuke it again. Tasted decent though.
