WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT BAKED BRIE IN PUFF PASTRY

Baking cheese that’s first wrapped in puff pastry is a delicious way to contain oozing warm melted cheese and something to hold onto as you pull it apart. The technique to baking cheese first originated in Scandinavia which then grew in demand around the world in the 1900s.

This recipe can be made with any size cheese wheel, increasing or decreasing the amount of puff pastry that you’d need depending on the size of the cheese.

HOW SHOULD I SERVE BAKED BRIE IN PUFF PASTRY FIGS AND STRAWBERRIES?

From my experience of making this tasty appetizer for many parties, it’s best to allow the freshly baked brie in puff pastry to sit for 10 minutes before serving.

This time allows the very hot and running cheese to thicken slightly (while still scoopable) and will also prevent any mouth burns!

While you can serve your baked brie in puff pastry on a platter, I recommend using a pie dish which will help to contain oozing cheese and makes it easier to scoop the cheese.

Yes, you can. While baked brie in puff pastry will always taste the best when enjoyed immediately after baked for the first time, you can reheat it in the oven at 200F until the cheese is warm and gooey.
