Bacon Ranch Biscuits
We all love biting into a savory southern biscuit, and this Bacon Ranch Biscuits Recipe makes them even better! These are easily made from Grands! Frozen Biscuits, but are made 200% better by adding butter, ranch seasoning mix, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
This makes a pull-apart bread recipe that’s perfect to serve as an appetizer or alongside pasta or chicken. I’ve never tried this, but they’d probably make really delicious slider buns, too.
Anytime you blend bacon, cheddar, and ranch, I think you’ve got a winning combo! These biscuits will make a memorable and drool-worthy addition to your table. I’m drooling just thinking about them.
What are Bacon Ranch Biscuits?
Bacon ranch biscuits are a fresh, savory take on traditional dinner biscuits. They’re enhanced with the addition of bacon, cheddar cheese, and a ranch seasoning packet. This gives them a classic flavor that goes very well with a variety of foods.
My version is made with Grands! Biscuits, so you don’t have to make the bread from scratch. That’s half the battle gone right there. You just cook some bacon and top these with all kinds of yummy stuff!

Tips and Recipe Notes
- Like any time you make Grands! Biscuits, you’ll need to keep an eye on these. Slight variations in temperature can cause these to burn quickly, so watch for them to turn golden brown.
- Try to cover the tops of the biscuits uniformly with butter. They’ll cook more evenly that way.
- You can half this recipe if you’d like. Just use a smaller pan. You can also double it! Just use a bigger pan!
Ingredient Substitutions
- Bacon – You can buy bacon bits for this, but you’ll want real crumbled bacon, not dried bacon bits.
- Butter – Non-dairy butter will also work if needed.
- Cheddar – Any soft cheese will do. I actually love substituting mozzarella in this recipe. You can also use a spicy cheese blend if you like a bit of heat.
- Green onion – You can also caramelize sweet onion and put it on top, or leave out the onion altogether.
Can I cook these if my biscuits are thawed?
According to Pillsbury, these biscuits should be thrown out if you accidentally let them thaw. They’re meant to be cooked from frozen.
How Do I Store Bacon Cheddar Biscuits?
You can store your leftover biscuits in the fridge. Place them in bag or an airtight container. Because of the bacon on these biscuits, they shouldn’t be left on the counter.
However, I will say that these don’t stay fresh very long after baking and will become drier in the fridge. So I’d recommend eating them up the first time around.
Can I Freeze Cooked Biscuits?
Yes, you can freeze these biscuits after cooking. A few tips:
- Make sure they’re completely cool before freezing.
- Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in a Ziploc bag.
- Freeze right after they’ve cooled. Don’t let them sit around long.
- Freeze for up to three months.
How to Reheat Bacon Cheddar Biscuits
Undoubtedly, these biscuits will be better reheated. Wrap the biscuits in foil and place in the oven at 350 for about 5-7 minutes, just until they’re warm through.

Notes
•When I experimented with this recipe I felt that salted butter made the biscuits too salty. But salted butter will work fine if that’s what readers have on hand.
•The videos I saw on TikTok showed creators using pre-packaged bacon bits, but real bacon is so much better.
•I don’t know if this recipe would work with refrigerator biscuits, but if anyone attempts it they should reduce the baking time significantly as 30 minutes would be way too long.
