WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AIR FRYER ROASTED POTATOES
Air-frying potatoes are a great alternative to traditional oven-roasting. It’s a quick and easy cooking method to ensure an even, crispy exterior on all sides with minimal oil required.
Air-fryer roasted potatoes can be paired with other foods for a hearty meal or serve them alone with toppings such as sour cream, chopped fresh herbs, crispy bacon bits, and shredded cheese.
HOW SHOULD I STORE AIR FRYER ROASTED POTATOES?
Once completely cool, place these air fryer roasted potatoes in an airtight container or Ziploc bag in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Leftover roasted potatoes can also be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat in the microwave or in the air fryer to regain some crispy exterior.
WHY SOAK POTATOES IN WATER BEFORE AIR FRYING?
Soaking potatoes in water once cut will help draw out excess starch, producing extra crispy air-fried potatoes. Soaking the cut potatoes for about 20-30 minutes will do the trick, although you can soak the potatoes for longer.
Once soaked, pat the potatoes dry completely before coating them with oil and seasoning for air frying.
WHAT TYPES OF POTATOES ARE BEST FOR THIS RECIPE?
Use potatoes that are high in starch and low in moisture. Russet potatoes and Yukon Gold potatoes are probably the best types of potatoes for air frying, but you could also use red potatoes and fingerling potatoes.

Notes
●Soaking the potatoes in water for 20 minutes after they have been cut can help draw out extra starch. Dry them off and they will be noticeably crispier!
●These can even work as a main dish. Slather on sour cream, bacon bits, and cheese and you have a killer loaded baked potato dish!
●It’s important that the potatoes are tossed and adjusted halfway through the cooking process. This allows them to cook evenly and not burn half while the other half doesn’t crisp well.
●This recipe works with 4-quart or larger air fryers. If you’re using a smaller one, cut the recipe in half or cook only half at a time.
●If your air fryer doesn’t reach 400 degrees, use the closest setting it gives. You may have to add a couple more minutes cooking time.
●Add any seasonings you like to switch up the flavors or to match the main course you’re serving them with.
